Pre-Market trading also known as extended-hours trading happens before the regular trading day of a stock exchange. Broadly, extended trading hours refer to the trading hours outside regular trading sessions including both pre-market and post-market.
2. What exact time does the U.S. Pre-Market Trading Session cover? When can pre-market order be placed?
Currently, POEMS offers you pre-market trading between 16:00 to 21:30 HKT (summer), or 17:00 to 22:30 HKT (winter). This type of order is sent to Pre-market Trading Session and allowed to fill during Pre-market Trading Session and Regular Trading Hours. Orders can be placed from 16:00 HKT (summer), or 17:00 HKT (winter), until before market opening at 21:30 HKT (summer), or 22:30 HKT (winter). Regular Trading Hours starts from 21:30 to 04:00 HKT (summer), or 22:30 to 05:00 HKT (winter)
3. Are all account types eligible to trade during the Pre-Market session?
All customers who have enabled the U.S. stocks trading function can submit orders during the pre-market trading session after the acknowledgment of the "Extended Hours Trading Risk Disclosure Statement" on the order page.
4. How to place an order for the Pre-Market Trading Session?
During the pre-market available time 16:00 to 21:30 HKT (summer), or 17:00 to 22:30 HKT (winter), select "Limit Order for Pre&Regular" in trade type on POEMS App. Currently, the function to place new "Limit Order for Pre&Regular" is not available on other POEMS platforms, but you can view and withdraw orders placed from mobile App on all POEMS platform.
5. What are the risks of trading at the Pre-Market Trading Session?
Risk of Lower Liquidity, Risk of Higher Volatility, Risk of Changing Prices, Risk of Unlinked Markets, Risk of News Announcements, and, Risk of Wider Spreads. For more details, please read “Extended Hours Material Risks Disclosure”.
6. How do I know if my order is placed in the Pre-Market Trading Session?

7. Where can I find the US Pre-Market quotes on the POEMS suite of platforms?
We currently did not provide pre-market price quotes.
8. Where do Pre-Market orders match?
Through electronic communication networks (ECNs) that match buyers with sellers.
9. Where can I place Pre-Market orders?
You can only place Pre-Market orders through POEMS Mobile App during Pre-Market session, 16:00 to 21:30 HKT (summer), or 17:00 to 22:30 HKT (winter). Select [Foreign Stock]>[Trade]>Select [US Market]
10. How does Phillip HK charge Pre-Market transitions?
Charges for US stocks are the same as they are during normal trading hours. During the pre-market trading session, you can also take advantage of our most recent US stock offers.
11. What will happen to orders not done during the Pre-Market period?
Unfilled or partially filled orders will be carried forward to the regular trading session and will expire at the end of the trading day.
12. Is Post-Market trading available?
Currently, POEMS does not offer post-market trading.
13. Why are some counters missing pre-market quotes?
Missing pre-market quotes can indicate that no one is currently trading the counter before regular trading hours.
14. Can I change the Pre-Market order at any time?
You cannot modify the pre-market order, however, you can withdraw it and place a new pre-market order.
Application via the mobile app "Phillip HK"
1. Log in to the "Phillip HK" app and tap <Me>
2. Then tap <Market Data>
3. Next to US Market Data Service, tap <Apply>
4. Check the box for Non-Professional User, then enter your employer's name and your job title. After filling in the details, tap <Next>.
5. Review the terms and confirm your eligibility as a Non-Professional User, then tap <Next>.
6. Read the terms and conditions, check the box for "I have read and agree to the above terms and conditions", then enter your full name for confirmation. Finally, tap <Apply> to submit.
Application via the POEMS
1. Login to POEMS, select Foreign Stock > Apply US Price Quote (Free) 2. Click to apply US Market Data Subscription 3. Check the box after you read and accept the terms 4.Check the box on the service you wish to apply, then click Next at the bottom 5.Read the terms, check the box to confirm that you are not a Professional Subscriber 6.Click Submit after you read and accept the terms and conditions
After the submission, it will take at least 1 working day to process. Upon successful application, a confirmation email will be sent to your registered email address, please activate the price quote service according to the guideline in the email.
Activating US Real Time Price Quote
Please login to POEMS, click Foreign Stock > Global Trading , a new trading screen will be open up, and you can login to access to US real time price quote.

When you signup and link your Phillip account in Phillip HK app, you can still login POEMS HK App and Web, but some of the functions will be disabled, including but not limited to the function of trading Hong Kong stocks, China Connect and PhillipMart.
What is Digital Token? When do I need to use Digital Token?
Digital Token is a security code generator that provides an additional layer of protection for your online account, by reducing the risk of unauthorized user access. It is a feature within Phillip HK App that generates a Digital Token to authenticate two-factor authentication (2FA) when login Phillip HK App. Authentication is done seamlessly in the background if you have paired the Digital Token with your mobile device.
How do I enable the Digital Token?
You can enable the Digital Token in 3 steps:
1. Launch Phillip HK App and login to your account 2. Click 'Set up' > Agree the 'Terms & Condition' 3. Enter the activation code that will be sent to you via SMS
Can I login to the Phillip HK app on other mobile devices?
Can. However, based on your account security considerations, you can only bind a Digital Token on one mobile device. If you want to login to your account on other mobile devices, you need to obtain a Digital Token on the bound mobile device and enter it in the provided place.
Why does the Digital Token I entered show as invalid?
Each Digital Token is valid for 30 seconds. Please re-enter the new generated Digital Token associated with your binded mobile number if the Digital Token has expired.
Why is my account shown as suspended?
If you’ve reached a maximum attempts of wrong password per day, the system will automatically suspend your account as a security control.
I have a new mobile device. How do I rebind the Digital Token on my new device?
You can do so by setting up the Digital Token on your new mobile device. The Digital Token will automatically be deactivated on the previous device. You can rebind the Digital Token on your new device with the following steps: Alternatively, you may also do so with the following steps:
1. Launch the Phillip HK App and login to your account 2. Enable the Digital Token in the new device by entering 'Click here' 3. Agree 'Terms and Condition' 4. Enter the activation code that will be sent to you via SMS
Are PHK KEY and Digital Token of Phillip HK App the same?
Not the same. Both PHK KEY and Phillip HK app's digital token are used for two-factor authentication when logging into the mobile app. Currently, two apps, POEMS HK and Phillip HK, will be available on the mobile store App Store/Google Play Store, and they will use different two-factor authentication methods. PHK KEY is the two-factor authentication method of POEMS HK app or web version, and the digital token of Phillip HK app is the two-factor authentication method of Phillip HK app.Not the same.
Can I use the Digital Token on my old mobile device after I have enabled the Digital Token in my new mobile device?
For security reasons, you are only allowed to set up the Digital Token on a single mobile device. If you have enabled the Digital Token on a new device, the Digital Token on the previous device will be deactivated automatically.
Am I able to set up Digital Token on one mobile device for multiple accounts?
Yes, you can set up the Digital Token for multiple POEMS accounts on one mobile device. If you have yet to set up the Digital Token on your account, you will be prompted to do so once you are logged in.
1. Open the Mobile App that you have last set the Digital Token up to 2. Tap on the Digital Token icon 3. A list of POEMS accounts that have been paired with the Digital Token on the same mobile device will be displayed on the screen
Can I deposit funds into my account using Phillip HK App?
Yes. You may deposit funds using Phillip HK App via eDDA. To do so, simply follow the steps below:
1. Go to 'Me' on the shortcut bar 2. Select 'eDDA' 3. Select your desired funding product and follow the instructions on the screen
Can I change my password on Phillip HK App?
Yes, to change your password, simply follow the steps below:
